OLIVIA BEE FEATURED IN REPUBLIK MAGAZINE

Olivia Bee was recently featured in Republik Magazine for the series  "A Postcard from America," where photographers are invited to explore what life is like in America at the moment. It is no wonder Olivia was chosen for the series, considering the sensitive and nostalgic qualities of her work. An image by Olivia, of her and her daughter Mary, accompanies some beautiful insights from the photographer on the uncertain state of the world.

When the magazine asked her what she worries about, Olivia replied, "I worry about lots of things, but if I start worrying I fall into a hole, and I can't get out. I choose to be optimistic. That humans will always know the human touch. There is a Carl Sandburg quote that I love—'a baby is god's opinion that the world should go on.' I feel that wholeheartedly."
