Kendrick Brinson photographed acclaimed author Tayari Jones at her home in Atlanta for The New York Times. Jones is the bestselling author of several novels, including An American Marriage, an Oprah’s Book Club selection that went on to win the 2019 Women’s Prize for Fiction. During their time together, the two discovered they are practically neighbors—Brinson has walked her dogs past Jones’s house many times.
