KENDRICK BRINSON VISITS GRAMMY NOMINEE CANDI STATON

Kendrick Brinson recently photographed singer Candi Staton at her home in Georgia. As The New York Times writes, Staton has been “a child gospel star, a shining light of Southern soul and a disco diva,” and at 85 she is now one of the oldest nominees at the 68th annual Grammy Awards. Candi welcomed Kendrick into her home, where she shared stories from across her remarkable career and showed her awards and photographs from decades of touring.
