BETH GALTON ANTHOTYPES

Beth Galton follows where inspiration leads. She is forever experimenting with different ways to deliver messages and evoke emotion. For her new personal project, Beth is using botanical material to create striking, graphic images. It starts with long walks during which Beth takes photos of trees. She then prints out the images on transparency film, lays the film out on paper coated with botanical material (ground up leaves and flowers) and bakes the paper in the sun. Sometimes, Beth layers in shadows or photos of herself. The work is an homage to Beth's place in the natural world and a stunning reminder that we are all
living embodiments of Earth's organic essence.
