KENNEDI CARTER AND GOOGLE PIXEL CREATOR LABS SEASON EIGHT

Creator Labs is a visual arts incubator, a space in which artists can express themselves creating new cultural narratives. Born out of a partnership between Google and SN37, it allows photographers and artists to document personal work based on a social cause. Now in its eighth season, Creator Labs has fostered work from a meticulously curated group of exceptional artists. As a part of that group for the last five seasons, Kennedi Carter has used Creator Labs as a catalyst to visually explore themes that not only speak to her, but also resonated with a global audience. For this season, Kennedi is payng tribute to the world of Black showgirls...and inviting the viewer to engage with historically marginalized narratives.
