KENNEDI CARTER HELPS SMASH STEREOTYPES FOR NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC

The August issue of National Geographic introduces readers to "a new generation of Black American cowboys." America holds a long history of Black cowboys dating back to the early 1900s. From cattle driving to rodeos, Black equestrians have quietly fostered a way of life that was once thought to be limited to White America. By sharing their stories through narrative-rich images, Kennedi is doing her part to break down stereotypes and shine a light on this beautiful, resourceful community.
