atedge FEATURES BETH GALTON

atedge is featuring Beth Galton's incredibly personal and absolutely beautiful project Memory of Absence. After Beth's mother passed in 2017, she and her sister discovered that their mother had been hoarding everything from letters to everyday objects. Per Beth: A profound sadness combined with these surprising discoveries led to my creating this body of work exploring feelings, memories and even buried memories – all brought to the surface through these revelations. The images are stunning montages that combine connection, loss and discovery.
